Kenneth Ray Riggs
Funeral services for Kenneth Ray “Rambo” Riggs, 55, will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Celsius Offor will officiate. Burial with full military rites conducted by a squad from Fort Polk will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Riggs died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, in his residence.
He was born in Lafayette and lived in Jennings most of his life. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, attended Jennings High School, and was a United States Army veteran. He was also a member of Frank Thibodeaux American Legion Post #520.
He is survived by one daughter, Chandra Horton (Mark Thibodeaux II) of Lake Charles; his mother, Margurite Pete Riggs of Jennings; two sisters, Sandra Davie of Jennings and Monica Simon of LaMarque, Texas; one brother, Gary L. (Roxanne) Riggs Sr. of Jennings; and three grandchildren, Amos Horton III, Ciarya and Elisha Horton, all of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luke Riggs Jr.; one sister, Veronica Riggs Willridge; his maternal grandparents, Charlotte Andrepont and Lee Pete Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Clementine Rideaux and Luke Riggs Sr.; and a nephew, Eric James Jr.
