Lake Arthur – Funeral services for Mr. Lee Floyd Deshotel, 76, will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 until time of services on Monday, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Mr. Deshotel died at 3 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in his residence.
Mr. Deshotel was a native of Jennings and lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was a retired tool pusher. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Dugas Deshotel of Lake Arthur; three sisters, Isabelle (Lester) Bourg of Lafayette, Rose (Grayling) Mouton of Jennings, and Judy (Jr.) Leonard of Bell City; three brothers, Lloyd (Carolyn) Deshotel of Lake Arthur, Paul (Judy) Deshotel of Moss Bluff, and Delano (Judith) Deshotel of Crowley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Cora Marie McLean Deshotel; and a brother, John Riley Deshotel.
