Martin, Pelissier wed in double-ring ceremony
Kimberly Martin and Seth Pelissier, both of Evangeline, were married at 7 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2012, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Charles McMillin officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Drue and Joy Martin of Evangeline and is the granddaughter of Shirley Martin and the late Lee Drue Martin of Jennings and the late Hulin and Joyce Theriot.
A 2010 graduate of Jennings High School, she is employed with the Rehabilitation Hospital of Jennings.
The groom is the son of Robin and Karen Pelissier of Evangeline and is the grandson of Grady and Kathleen Pelissier of Evangeline and the late Joe and Louise Miller.
A 2011 graduate of Iota High School, he is employed with Allen Correction Facility.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Casablanca empire A-Line gown adorned with Swarovski crystals and rhinestone-beaded embroidery, finished with beaded buttons on the back and beaded trim along the hemline, with a matching veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses adorned with peacock feathers.
Maid of honor was Renee Martin of Evangeline, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Meagan Mitchell and Nicolette Lafleur, both of Evangeline, Dyllan Gary of Roanoke, Nicole Durkes of Hathaway, and Valorie Trahan of Jennings.
They wore a peacock blue, one shoulder, A-line floor-length dress and carried mixed, champagne-colored flowers adorned with peacock feathers.
Best man was Blake Boudreaux of Evangeline.
Groomsmen were Bryan Dupont, Jeremy Parsley and Michael Hardy, all of Evangeline, Aaron Doga of Egan and Justin LaCombe of Houston, Texas.
Usher was Brian Theriot of Jennings.
Flowergirl was Lana Thibodeaux of Evangeline.
Ringbearer was Lance Beasley of Iota.
Readers were Nathan and Logan Istre of Jennings.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at She B’s Lounge in Jennings.
The couple resides in Evangeline.
