Funeral services for Mr. Paul “Joe” Benoit, 50, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Joe will be laid to rest in St. Ann Cemetery in Elton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of his services at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings.
He was called from this life on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012.
Paul “Joe” Benoit was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Erisa Marceaux Benoit and the late Anitius Felix Benoit Sr. on March 6, 1962. Joe worked at the flying service for many years. He enjoyed fishing and helping people.
Joe is survived by his mother, Erisa M. Benoit of Jennings; two daughters, Lisa Mechelle Benoit and Haley Nicole Benoit, both of Lake Arthur; one brother, Anitius Felix (Margaret) Benoit Jr. of Jennings; three sisters, Anita Lynn Tupper of Jennings, Elaine Marie Breaux of Raceland, and Lily Rose (Richard) Guillory of Lake Arthur; and his two grandchildren, Jubilee Simon and Duncan Simon.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Anitius Felix Benoit Sr.; and his brother, John Patrick Benoit.
In lieu of flowers, the Benoit family requests donations be made to Matthews and Son Funeral Home for Joe’s funeral expenses.
Carrying Joe to his eternal resting place will be Anitius Benoit Jr., Terrie Guillory, Daniel Aimee, Troy Carter, Brandon Tupper and Christina Winborne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Myron Landry and Keith Cormier.
