Public reminded of Trick-or-Treat hours

The annual Jennings Daily News Halloween costume contests will kick off tonight at 5:15 p.m. at Founders Park on Main Street in Jennings. The contest for dogs will start at 5:15 p.m. followed by the children’s costume contest at 5:30 p.m. Entry fee for dogs is some type of pet item or $1, which will be donated to the Animal Relief Foundation. Entry fee for kids is a canned good or $1 to be donated to Caring Hands. Main Street Trick-or-Treat will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., as will city-wide trick or treat hours for Jennings and Elton. Tomorrow, Oct. 31, Welsh will have trick-or-treating from 5:30-7:30 p.m. while Fenton and Lake Arthur will have their hours from 6-8 p.m.
