Funeral services for Rosa Bihm, 94, were held on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh. Father Charles McMillan officiated. Her visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Burial followed the service at Oaklawn Cemetery.
She passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at a local care center.
She was a resident of Welsh and a native of Mowata. Rosa worked for and retired from Jeff Davis Parish School Board. She loved shopping, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh.
She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Bihm (Gene) Morales of Conroe, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Pris A. Bihm of Thornwell; her eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Bihm; her son, Belton Bihm; her parents, Noah and Ozia Cormier Aguillard; and four brothers.
