Police are still trying to identify the suspect(s) wanted for drilling holes in gas tanks in order to steal fuel from parked vehicles. Jennings Police Department (JPD) Deputy Chief Danny Semmes reported four incidents of stolen fuel as of last Tuesday. Two more cases have been reported since that time, including fuel stolen from a truck parked on Florence Street Friday morning.

Semmes said these cases present some difficulties, as the thief is slipping underneath parked vehicles – likely during late-night hours – and is drilling holes in the top of gas tanks to steal the fuel.
