Welsh police chief candidates face public

(Editor’s Note: The following is part one of two stories detailing Tuesday night’s Welsh candidates’ forum.)
WELSH – Citizens packed the community center here Tuesday night for a chance to learn the priorities and plans of candidates seeking the offices of mayor, police chief and alderman.
The forum was sponsored by the Welsh Rotary Club, Welsh High School Interact Club and the Welsh Citizen. Rotarian Ronnie Petree served as moderator while Interact students assisted as timekeepers.
