   Local breast cancer survivors (from left) Doris Durio, Kim Precht, Julie Campbell and Clenetta Hawkins joined together to celebrate their good health at Jerry Simmons Stadium in Jennings. Two large, pink ribbons have been painted onto the field to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Saturday, Oct. 27, more survivors and their supporters will participate in the Melissa Doise 2nd Annual Hope for the Miracle 5K Breast Cancer Race/Walk. The quilt was donated as a door prize for the event. Anyone wanting to donate door prizes, purchase raffle tickets or give a monetary donation can contact Precht at (337) 824-5708.
