A Christmas To Remember

Daily News photos by Allison Cryer

The W.H. Tupper General Merchandise Museum is the perfect place to step back in time to Christmas in the 1940’s. Stop by from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to see some of the original ornaments used in the W.H. Tupper Store when it was open over 70 years ago. Also on display are some of the Christmas items and toys the farmers would have been able to purchase back then. The adjoining Old Magnolia Room is filled with Nutcrackers, Santas, angels, bears, dolls, antique toys, decorated trees, trains and a display of antique French animated store window Christmas carolers.
