The Jennings Police Department (JPD) conducted two traffic stops Wednesday evening that led to the seizure of one pound of hydroponic marijuana and 320 Oxycodone tablets worth $8,000 on the streets.

Two arrests were made in the separate and unrelated traffic stops, which were conducted by the department’s Directed Patrol Unit (DPU).

JPD Deputy Chief Danny Semmes said the first stop was made on Interstate 10 near milepost 67 shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
