Clarence Leo Robertson

Clarence Leo Robertson, 94, of Lake Arthur, entered into rest peacefully on Nov. 16, 2012, at his home.

Leo was born in Smithville, Ark., on Jan. 18, 1918, to James Robertson and Rennie Ethel Chambers and was a 1935 graduate of Lake Arthur High School. Leo spent the majority of his civilian life working for Ford Instrument Company of Long Island New York and was honorably discharged from the United States Army as a Private First Class. As a World War II veteran, Leo was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic- Pacific Theater Operations Medal, and the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theater Operations Medal.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several cousins.

In accordance with Mr. Robertson’s wishes, he will be cremated. Mr. Robertson’s cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles.

The family would like to thank his Lake Arthur caregivers for making the last eight months of his life a joyful experience; and Christus Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving care during the last week of his life.
