Dogs down Yellow Jackets in back-and-forth affair

 IOWA – The Jennings Bulldogs and Iowa Yellow Jackets stood toe-to-toe here for 48 minutes, slugging it out in Jesse Cady Stadium. The two teams went into intermission tied at six. There were four lead changes with the game going down to the final minute. Jennings scored the last points with a Keaton Bertrand touchdown to come away with a hard fought 21-18 victory.

“We came over here and played a very good football team with a lot of weapons. We kept hanging in there. This is a tough district,” Bulldog Head Coach Rusty Phelps said. “I thought we played really good.We kept battling back. I’m proud of the effort of these kids.”
