Dupre, Tyson wed in double-ring ceremony
Lauren Alyse Dupre of Iota and Jamin Lee Tyson of Kinder were married at 3 p.m. Nov. 17, 2012, at the Springs Ballroom in Iota, with Rev. Randy Dupre officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Raphael and Tracie Dupre of Iota and is the granddaughter of Rita Foret and the late Henry Foret, Jr. of Iota and the late Francis and Lelia Dupre of Eunice.
A 2009 graduate of Iota High School, she is attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she is a member of the UL student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
She is currently employed as a tax intern at Postlethwaite and Netterville, APAC.
The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Fran Tyson of Kinder and is the grandson of Flora Currie and the late William Currie of Kinder and Katie Tyson and the late Burrell Tyson of Mobile, Ala.
A 2009 graduate of Bethel Christian High School, he is attending McNeese State University where he is a full-time student and member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Fraternity.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice featured a satin Victorian corset with lace, seed pearls and scalloped trim. The skirt was true satin ball gown style with a cathedral train, featuring inverted pleats and satin buttons. She wore a fingertip-length, two-tier veil in ivory tulle, embellished with seed pearls and soutache edges, held by a pearl- and crystal-accented comb. She carried a bridal bouquet that featured a Victorian array of cream and dusty mauve roses, accented with hydrangea and mini eggplant calla lilies.
Maid of honor was Whitney Dupre of Iota.
Bridesmaids were Ariel Gotte of Iota, Nicolette Broussard of Jennings, Katherine Wall of Jennings, Danielle Tyson of Kinder and Taylor Dupre of Iota.
They wore knee-length lapis dresses in styles individually chosen by the attendants. They carried miniature versions of the bridal bouquet, with the stems covered in satin and tied with French knots.
Best man was Jeffrey N. Tyson of Kinder.
Groomsmen were Andrew Wall of Jennings, Quintin Wilder of Jennings, William Stagg of Lake Arthur, Mackenzie Daigle of Iota and Caleb Tyson of Smithville, Tenn.
Flower girl was Laney Perdue of Chipley, Fla.
Ring bearer was Christian Leonards of Iota.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Springs Ballroom in Iota.
Following a honeymoon trip to New Orleans, the couple resides in Lake Charles.
