Funeral services for Eddie Higginbotham Jr., 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, in Love of Christ Ministries. Rev. Roy Harmon will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by a squad from Fort Polk.  Services are under direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings.

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, in the church until time of funeral services.

Mr. Higginbotham entered into eternal rest Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, in his residence.

A native of Lake Arthur, he resided in Jennings most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Love of Christ Ministries, where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pamela Brown Higginbotham;  his children, Eddie Higginbotham III (Ella), Gary Higginbotham, Dana Higginbotham, Diane and Michael Maybank, Melania Higginbotham, Lance and Malesia Higginbotham, Darrell and Alecia Higginbotham and Journey Higginbotham; four sisters, Velma Johnson, Dorothy Smith, Leatha Guillory and Fannie Brush; step-children, Kamela Francis, Eldon Brown and Gregory Livingston; two brothers, Robinson McZeal Jr. and Richard Higginbotham; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
