Elton street renamed in honor of Livingstons

ELTON – Two longtime educators who played memorable parts in Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) and local education will be honored with a street here that will bear their family name.
The Elton Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to rename a local street in honor of Wesley and the late Geraldine Livingston, Sr.
Wesley and the late Geraldine Livingston were honored by the Town of Elton by having their home street renamed Livingston Street. The Livingstons’ daughters are honored by the renaming and shared their thoughts about their parents with the Jennings Daily News.
