Elton versus Basile Rivalry expected to be close contest

The Indians have a lot to play for tonight as they travel to take on a near-perfect Basile team in their final contest of the regular season.

But there’s more than a Battle of the Bayou trophy at stake, explained Elton Head Coach Doyle Carter. There is a district title on the line, as well as a home playoff game.

“This is do or die for us,” Carter said about the highly anticipated rivalry. “If we win and Oberlin loses, we share the district title with Oberlin and we earn a home game in the playoffs.”
