Glitter and Garland returns Friday night

LAKE ARTHUR – The town here is inviting the community of Jeff Davis to shop local first.
The Lake Arthur Merchants Association (LAMA) is hosting the second annual “Glitter and Garland” event along Arthur Avenue from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16.
The event was started last year by a group of merchants in an effort to provide shoppers in Jeff Davis with a unique way to check items off their Christmas list while keeping money in the community, according to LAMA President Joanna LeJeune.
