Juanita Daigle Shirah
It is with great sadness that the family of Juanita Daigle Shirah announces her passing on Nov. 20, 2012, at the age of 76. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee-Mamou on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at 12 p.m. Reverend David Broussard will be officiating her services. Juanita will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
Juanita was born in Jennings on Nov. 29, 1935, to the late Clarence Joseph Trahan and the late Zelona LeBlanc. One of Juanita’s loves was to square dance. She enjoyed reading and she loved to shop. She loved spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons: Anthony Craig (Peggy) Daigle of Coppell, Texas, Barry Daigle of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Jonathon Daigle of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Catha (Bryce) Doucet of Tee-Mamou and Tana (Ronald) Robert of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughter-in-law, Debbie Daigle of Lake Charles; her 10 loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Nicole, Wade, Tristan, Justin, Amy, Randy, Taylor, Haleigh and Alex; and her six great-grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Zelona Trahan; her husbands, U.J. Daigle and Charles Shirah, Sr.; a son, Jaime Daigle; and a brother, J.C. Trahan.
