It is with great sadness that the family of Layla Rae Marie Chaisson announces her passing from this life on Nov. 2, 2012. She was 19 years old. Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 7 p.m. to honor the life of this beautiful young woman. Deacon Mike Tramel will be officiating her services.
Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of her funeral services.
Layla Rae Marie was born in Lake Charles to Allen Ray and Peggy Plaisance Chaisson on March 16, 1993. She was a 2011 graduate of Parkview Baptist School. She enjoyed singing, crafting, drawing and writing.
Layla is survived by her beloved parents, Allen and Peggy Chaisson of Hathaway; her grandparents, Flo Sonnier of Scott, Lloyd Plaisance of Jennings, Anna Marie Chaisson of Jennings, and Randall and Diane Burton of Millerville; one sister, Meagan Raye Chaisson of Jennings; two half-brothers, Ian Price and James Mitchell, both of Lake Charles; and two half-sisters, Alexis Wilkes and Susie Mitchell of Lake Charles.
Layla now rests in heaven with her beloved grandparents, Adeline “Deanie” Benoit Plaisance and Odule Chaisson.
