Mr. Wilford Langley
Funeral services for Mr. Wilford Langley, 90, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot officiating.
Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Funeral home visitation will begin today, Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, from 3-10 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m., led by Deacon Mike Tramel. Visitation will resume on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Langley died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at 6:36 a.m. in Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Mr. Langley was a resident of Jennings and a 20-year resident of Welsh. Mr. Langley served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a derrick hand in the oil industry and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mr. Langley loved to dance, fish and garden.
Survivors include his five daughters, Earline (Tom) LeBlanc of Jennings, Wanda Cormier of Jennings, Jean L. (Harold) Simon of Jennings, Janelle (Frank) Derouen of Haughton and Joetta (Boo) Monceaux of Jennings; one sister, Nadine “Sis” Newman of Jennings; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; his step-children, Karen, Ricky, Keith, Dale (Mary), Earl (Tammy) Doucet, Ann (Mike) Dubois and Ronald Benoit; special friend, Beatrice Ardoin; her children; and her grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Olivia Mallett Langley; three brothers, Clifford, Lester Sr. (Black) and Thomas Langley; one sister, Annie Langley; and his former wife, Livian Langley Longin.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Langley, Everette Gary, Jared LeBlanc, Donovan Monceaux, T-Boy Monceaux and Brett Broussard.
Honorary pallbearers are Boogie Broussard and Rory Derouen.
