Mrs. Lucille LeBlanc Doucet
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille LeBlanc Doucet, 87, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Carroll Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in Istre Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Funeral home visitation will be held today, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and will continue on Friday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Doucet died at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Doucet had a deep love for God. She was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area. She was a great cook and baker. She loved spending time with her family, especially sitting around her table drinking coffee and enjoying her delicious baked goods.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (David) Duhon of Midland and Sherry (James) Guthrie of Jennings; five sisters, Ruth Richard, Vina (Jack) Langley, Dorothy (Ronnie) Benoit and Eva Sitt, all of Jennings, and Elday Thibodeaux of Mermentau; five grandchildren, Angela Daigle, Deborah Bouley, Stanley Boulet, Jennifer Dufrene and Tracy Boulet; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Doucet was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Doucet; her parents, Alcee and Theresa Trahan Leblanc; two sisters, Hilda Broussard and Audrey Broussard; one brother, A.J. LeBlanc; and a great-grandson, Saje Garett Bouley.
