Patricia Ann Esthay
It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Patricia Ann Esthay announces her passing from this life on Oct. 30, 2012. She was 68 years of age. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. Patricia will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery with Father Jeff Starkovich officiating.
Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, from 2:30-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral services.
Patricia Ann was born in Crowley to the late Cline Esthay and the late Levia Leger Esthay on Aug. 11, 1944. She was a store manager and clerk for many years. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed her job, which provided a good, honest living for her family. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching television and doing seek-a-word puzzles. Patricia is survived by her son, Johnathan David (Lynn) Esthay of Jennings; one daughter, Tammy Esthay Gotte of Lafayette; her sister, Deanie E. Reeves of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Jared Morvant, Kayla Gotte, Ashly Esthay, Gavin Gotte and Anthony Boudreaux; one great-granddaughter, Natalie Grace Morvant; four step-grandchildren, Carrie Fontenot, Connie Fontenot, Shelly Fontenot and Bubba Fontenot; one step-granddaughter, Rayleigh Dupuis; her seven nieces and nephews; and a very special person whom she raised like a daughter, Jessica Deshazo.
Patricia now rests in Heaven with her beloved family who preceded her in death: her parents, Cline and Levia L. Esthay; one daughter, Brandy Dawn Esthay; her sister, Clinetta Esthay; and her two brothers, Kenneth and Timmy Esthay.
