Residents are reminded to pull over for emergency personnel or pay the price.

Jennings Police Chief Todd D’Albor said Monday that pulling over so that emergency personnel can get to the scene of an emergency more quickly could make the difference in saving a life.

“It is very important that people yield to emergency vehicles,” D’Albor said. “Whether it is police, an ambulance or any type of emergency vehicle, one minute could mean saving someone’s life, especially a heart patient or someone that is in cardiac arrest and needs to get to a hospital immediately.
