State to assist with parish bridge repair

LAKE ARTHUR – A bridge closed by the state in 2010 will see repairs soon thanks to the approval of $40,000 in funding from the state.

The bridge was one of the Southwest Louisiana projects approved by the State Bond Commission. The Commission approved $40,000 in Priority 2 funding for the repair, planning and construction of the Third Street West bridge in Lake Arthur.
