Coushatta to host business workshop

ELTON – On Jan. 15, 2013, the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana will play host to “Uniform Commercial Codes: Bringing Business to Indian Country,” an educational workshop presented by the Federal Reserve Banks of Minneapolis, San Francisco and Atlanta, and the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Division of Indian Energy and Economic Development.

Similar workshops have been presented in Seattle, Phoenix, Sacramento and Minneapolis, but this is the only one currently scheduled for the Southeast region of the U.S., according to a press release. The workshop is free, but advance registration is required at www.uccelton.eventbrite.com.
