DA convictions announced

(Editor’s Note: The following is the first of two stories highlighting convictions recently obtained in the 31st Judicial District Court.)
Jeff Davis Parish District Attorney Michael C. Cassidy announced the following convictions recently obtained during the criminal petit jury on Nov. 26 in the 31st Judicial District Court in Jennings.
Wilfred Lacombe, of Lake Arthur, pled guilty simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a felony. The court sentenced the defendant to serve six years at hard labor with the Department of Corrections. The first year is to be served without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. The defendant is given credit for time previously served.
