DARE hosts fall graduation

The local Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program saw its 39th graduation Wednesday morning during a special event held at Jennings High School.
This was also the first semester since Jeff Davis Sheriff’s deputies Gale Richard and Bill Kettler took over as DARE officers, following longtime leader Lee Robinson’s retirement.

A number of students from across Jeff Davis celebrated graduation from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program Wednesday after weeks of learning about the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse, peer pressure and bullying.
