Dogs’ comeback effort falls short, 74-70

LAKE CHARLES – The Jennings Bulldogs traveled to face the Barbe Bucs Wednesday and fell just short of the win, 74-70.
In first quarter action, the Bucs struck first with a jumper, but a bucket by Malik Williams put the Bulldogs on the board, as well. The Bucs led 16-9 midway through the first quarter thanks to quick jumpers and free-throws. The Bulldogs trailed at the end of the first quarter, 23-9.
