Holiday Spectacular kicks off today

MIDLAND – Tournament action kicked off today for the annual Midland Holiday Spectacular, with nine boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams slated to hit the hardwood. In the boys’ bracket, participating teams include Jennings, Rayne, Bolton, Notre Dame, David Thibodeaux, Eunice, Lafayette Christian, Carencro and their Midland hosts. For the girls, teams that have accepted invitations include Jennings, Notre Dame, Comeaux, Bolton, Sulphur, STM, Iota and Midland.

Action began at 10:30 a.m. with Jennings’ and Notre Dame’s girls going head-to-head in game one of the 27-game event. (See Thursday’s edition for results.)
