Honesty is still the best policy

Teenagers often get a bad rap for their misdeeds, but the Jennings Daily News would like to recognize one Bell City young man for recently doing the “right thing” when the wrong thing would have been more profitable – and no one would have ever known the difference.
Hathaway High student Laiha Bergeaux and 17-year-old Lantz Monk of Bell City have been friends for a long time, and decided to attend Hathaway’s homecoming together last week. Homecoming is usually expensive – mostly for parents – who have to fork over money for food, photos, suits and dresses, shoes and the best hairdos.
