JHS teams fall to Barbe, set sights on Lacassine

The Jennings Lady Bulldogs closed out the Barbe Tournament Friday by playing the host school. The Lady Bucs overwhelmed the Lady Bulldogs, 46-20, in the last round of the tournament after racing to a big lead in the first quarter. Barbe held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the first quarter for a 15-0 advantage at the end of the frame.
The Lady Bulldogs finally got on the scoreboard thanks to a jumper by Kaly Breaux. But the Lady Bucs continued to score at-will inside and ballooned their lead to 21-2 midway through the second quarter.
