IOTA –  It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth “Juice” Doucet announces his passing on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 53. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Church in Iota. Interment will follow in Maxie Cemetery with Pastor Gary Koopman officiating.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and will resume on Monday, Dec. 10 from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

Kenneth, known as “Juice” to all who knew him, was a gentle soul who was loved by all. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Nina “CoCo” Bertrand of Iota; brother  Barry Doucet and companion Lisa Fontenot of Basile; two sisters, Cheryl (Kyle) Crochet of Iota and Denise (Myron) Myers of Morse; his nephews, Gaston Myers, Blake Myers and Cliff Guidry; his niece, Chelsea Guidry; two uncles, Thomas (Linda) Bertrand and Marcus Bertrand, all of Iota; and four aunts, Sissy (Fred) Lantz of Iota, Marsha (Robert) Wallace of Evangeline, Cindy (Bob) Bouget of Branch, and Gladys Doucet (Chubby) Young of Vivian.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved father, Gaston L. Doucet; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Bertha Bertrand; and his paternal grandparents, Felix and Marguerite Doucet.

Pallbearers for the service will include Gaston Myers, Blake Myers, Cliff Guidry, Luke Bouget, Richard Pousson and Donald Pousson. Honorary pallbearers will include Thomas Bertrand, Marcus Bertrand, Kyle Crochet and Myron Myers.
