Langley, Wilson united in double-ring ceremony

Ginger Langley, formerly of Elton, and Chris Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas, were married at 6:30 p.m. July 20, 2012, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in New Orleans with Rev. Michael Dooley, S.J., officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Margaret Langley of Elton and the late Harold J. Langley and is the granddaughter of the late Murray and Esther Langley and the late Adley and Eva Guillory.

A 1994 graduate of Elton High School, she graduated in 1998 with a bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy before graduating as a doctor of pharmacy in 2001 from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy.

She is currently employed as a medical outcomes specialist with Pfizer, Inc.

The groom is the son of Dr. Stephen Wilson of Dallas, Texas, and Margaret Wilson of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mary Jane Wilson of Ballston Spa, New York and the late John Wilson and the late Lamar and Margaret Harlan.

A 1996 graduate of R.L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Texas, he graduated in 2001 with a bachelor of science in geological and Earth sciences from Washington and Lee University. In 2005, he graduated with a master’s degree in energy and mineral resources from the University of Texas at Austin before obtaining his doctorate degree in geomechanics in 2011 from Stanford University.

He is currently employed as a reservoir characterization analyst with Quantum Reservoir Impact, LLC.

Escorted by her brother, Wendel Langley, the bride wore a  Romona Keveza strapless gown made of ivory silk satin that featured a straight neckline and fluted-shaped skirt with chapel length train. She wore an ivory cathedral-length veil and carried a bridal bouquet of ivory roses accented with ivory spray roses and finished with an oval crystal brooch.

Matron of honor was Jan Simar Going.

Bridesmaids were Christina Ginger Chaveleh of Sugar Land, Texas, Erin Jackson Christerson of DeQuincy, Claire Caraway Fontenot of Lake Charles, Andrea Faulk Furman of Lake Charles, Wendy Smith Heck of Houston, Texas, Kellie Lynn Jones of Indianapolis, Ind., and Erin Wilson Williams of Fort Worth, Texas.

They wore Jim Hjelm Occasions opal silky taffeta strapless formal gowns that featured sweetheart necklines and asymmetrical dropped waists and wore Nadri crystal drop earrings with a filigree design and pave accents.

They carried tight, round and full bouquets of pale antique hydrangea with ivory and blush spray roses, ivory garden roses and white roses, finished with ivory satin ribbon.

Best man was John Wilson of Forth Worth, Texas.

Groomsmen were William Butler of Fort Worth, Daniel DeSnyder of Houston, Texas, James Jacobs of Houston, Joel Ledenham of Trento, Italy, Schuyler Marshall of Austin, Texas, Sebastien Matringe of Houston and Malcolm Williams of Fort Worth.

Ushers were Steven Beard of Houston and Thomas Moore of Burlington, VT.

Flower girls were Blair Going of Lake Charles, godchild of the bride, and Laurel Williams and Reese Williams, both of Fort Worth, nieces of the groom.

Lectors were Barbara Beard of Elton, Lyman Paden of Houston and Clancy Wilson of San Diego, Calif., uncle of the groom.

Gift bearers were Marty Ledenham, aunt of the groom, and Shirley Royer, aunt of the bride.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Islands of Bora Bora and Moorea in French Polynesia, the couple resides in Houston.
