Local still surprised by election
Dear Editor,
Well, it is late Nov. 2012 and I am still suffering from the shock of Nov. 6.
I guess I just have to admit that anyone aspiring to political office should definitely ask for my opinion and then immediately run in the opposite direction. After Earl Long, “Cousin Dud” and a few others along the way, I thought that my crystal ball had been fixed when it showed “no chance” for a Clinton second term. Wrong again!
This time, with so much negative information going around, it seemed like a sure thing. I never heard a kind word about BO in all the first four years. Even the liberal media seemed strained and sometimes stretched the truth to find a compliment, and yet there are 52 percent of the voting population: blacks, Hispanics, unions, welfare recipients and some semi and pseudo educated would not be denied.
I might not be around by 2016 to see the swarm of locusts in America who will carry their great leader in a winged chariot and enthrone him in our White House. Just as well if I do miss out. I do not want to see my wife and daughters wearing aigabs and abayas and I don’t know how they could ever learn to walk a respectful two steps behind their men!
