Lou Ella Tizeno Mouton
Funeral services for Lou Ella Tizeno Mouton were held today, Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 12 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Jennings, with Rev. Dr. David Jefferson Sr. officiating. Burial was in Benevolence Cemetery in Jennings.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. today, Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
Lou Ella Mouton transitioned into the presence of God’s glory on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at her residence. She was born on Feb. 8 in Jennings to Delphine Green and Frank Tizeno.
She was employed by Jenny Lou Morgan as a housekeeper for many years. Lou Ella had many different gifts and talents. She was a seamstress, cook, culinary cake baker, painter, interior designer and domestic technician. She was affectionately known as “Ma,” “Ma Ma,” “Nannee,” “Cousin Lou” and “Sister Lou.” She was a faithful member of Mallalieu United Methodist Church in Jennings.
Lou Ella was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Dudley Mouton Jr.; two sons, Dudley Mouton III and Riley Ray Mouton Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Williams; and siblings Jeremiah Green, Birdia Mae Guidry, Daniel Young, George Tizeno and Georgiana La Saint.
To celebrate her life and legacy, she leaves two sons, Hollin G. Mouton of Houston, Texas, and Linton Mouton of Jennings; one daughter, Linda Mouton Jefferson and son-in-law, Rev. Dr. David Jefferson Sr., Esq. of Warren, N.J.; a brother, Hollin Tizeno of Denver, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Ruby Mae Fontenot of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Alice Mouton of Jennings; 13 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
