Man murdered in Evangeline

EVANGELINE – The Jennings Police Department (JPD) is assisting the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) in investigating the murder of a young man here Thursday.

According to APSO Public Information Officer Maxine Trahan, the body of Ruston Miller, 24, was discovered outside his home in the 4900 block of La. 97 around 1 p.m. Thursday. He had a single gunshot wound to his chest.
