Mary Jo Cowan
Funeral services were held for Mary Jo Cowan today, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings.
She was called to her Heavenly Father on Dec. 25, 2012, at the age of 74. Mrs. Cowan was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Russell White officiated her services.
Mrs. Cowan leaves behind to cherish her memories her two daughters, Ina Katherine White of Rosenberg, Texas, and Rebecca Joyce Gillespie of Jennings; her 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cowan was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Kate Wilson; her husband, James H. Cowan; and one daughter, Barbara Ann Haas.
Carrying Mrs. Cowan to her eternal resting place were Kevin M. Neal, Kenneth S. Spears and Cliff Gillespie.
