Mrs. Edith Roy Grimes
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Roy Grimes, 91, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, in Miguez Funeral Home South Chapel with Jack Harris officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Funeral home visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, and will continue from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
Mrs. Grimes died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Grimes was a native of Rayne and a lifelong resident of Jennings. Mrs. Grimes was a member of First Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Fritz Williams and Beverly and Glynn Stevens, all of Jennings; one son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Judy Grimes of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph “Doc” Grimes.
