Welsh – Odile Marie Ardoin, 83, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in a local hospital.
Her service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Father Herbert May will officiate.
Visitation will begin today, Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m. and will resume Thursday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Ardoin Cove Cemetery.
She was a member of St. John Evangelist in Lacassine. She loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and also enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends.
She is survived by her sons, William “Billy” (Charlotte) Ardoin of Lacassine; Patrick Wade (Angie) Ardoin of Jennings; daughter, Betty A. (Bill) LaBouve of Welsh; a daughter-in-law, Juanita Ardoin of Lacassine; a brother, James Thibodeaux of Youngsville; her sisters, Joyce Louviere of Welsh; and Peggy Thibodeaux of Youngsville; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Julian Ardoin; two sons, Arlen Keith Ardoin and Julian Ray Ardoin; and one great-grandson, Carter Lee LaBouve.
