The Jennings Optimist Club sent out a warning Thursday to holiday travelers passing through Jeff Davis Parish: Stop and visit or pay the consequences.

This year, a couple from Salisbury, North Carolina, were the offenders stopped on Interstate 10 by Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Kettler after they tried to drive past Jennings without stopping to see all that the city has to offer.
