Renew your commercial license online

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is making it easier on commercial fisherman in Jeff Davis Parish by eliminating the need to travel to Baton Rouge to renew their commercial licenses.

LDWF has opened another avenue for Louisiana commercial license holders to renew their licenses for 2013.

The department says the new choice is both more convenient for customers and lets the department provide quicker service.

Previously, customers with commercial licenses could only renew by mail or in person at the Baton Rouge office. Now, they have a third option of using the Internet, which provides the customers with at-home service and savings on travel expenses.

Starting Jan. 1, people who have commercial licenses from the department can renew them by visiting LDWF’s website at http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/licenses. Customers who held a license in the immediate prior year for the requested renewal can go online at the department’s web site and renew those licenses.

This new site also allows for quick and easy access to hunting and fishing licenses, permits, regulations and other important information about recreation in Louisiana. Louisiana residents can also validate their deer/turkey tags; get HIP certified; update their address or personal information; or renew a boat registration.

Lifetime recreational hunting and fishing licenses, however, are only available by visiting Baton Rouge Office. To expedite issuance payment must be made in the form of cash or money order. For more information on lifetime licenses call (225) 765-2887.
