Welsh – Richard W. Rea, 76, passed away on Dec. 26, 2012, in his residence.
He is survived by his companion, Martha McAtee; his children, Richard (Claire) Rea of Mermentau, Michael (Kathy) Rea of Murfreesboro, Tenn., John (Evy) Rae of San Antonio, Texas, Susan (Eric) Hofmann of Jennings, Sheila (Glenn) Richard of Roanoke, Sheryl Rea of Welsh and Denise Torres of Laredo, Texas, Michael McAtee of Grand Junction, Iowa and Chris Schulze of Scranton, Iowa, Lori Hoefer (John) of Doniphan, Mo., and Jamie Boateng of Grand Junction, Iowa; brothers, James (Carol) Rea of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Gus (Sandra) Rea of Sherman, Texas; 38 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Words of comfort may be shared at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
