Sheriff meets with school leaders, beefs up patrols

Jeff Davis Sheriff Ivy Woods met with school leaders this week and vowed to beef up patrols around schools in light of the recent school shooting in Newtown, Conn. that left nearly 30 students and teachers dead.

On Tuesday, Woods met with Superintendent of Schools David Clayton, along with principals and other faculty from all the schools in the parish to discuss the strategic plan in place for schools.
