Sheriff reports safe holiday weekend

Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) drivers kept the roadways safe this holiday season, according to Jeff Davis Sheriff Ivy Woods.
No fatalities were reported in the parish this past Christmas weekend, despite steady winds and rains that hovered over the area.
“We had a pretty quiet weekend,” Woods said. “We had a few attempted thefts and an attempted break in of a vehicle, but nothing major.”
