Sobriety checkpoint announced

The Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police and other agencies will conduct and participate in a sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the parish tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 14. Sheriff’s deputies will be setting up a checkpoint and assessing drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment.
Meanwhile, the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission reported that efforts to remove drunk drivers from roadways appear to be working statewide.
