City Court considers collecting fees from offenders

Jennings City Court is taking advantage of a state statute that authorizes it to collect up to $10 per offender to be used for equipment purchases for the city court.
On Tuesday, the Jennings City Council introduced an ordinance that would allow for the city’s court to collect the funds and place them in a Judicial Building Fund.
