COA Wellness Center

   The Jeff Davis Council on Aging’s Wellness Center is a free exercise facility for Jeff Davis Parish residents over the age of 60. The center is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. There are also several high and low-impact classes each week including Belly Dancing, Zumba Gold and Hula Dancing classes. Lula Johnson of Roanoke makes good use of one of the facility’s cardio-glide machines on Monday, while Larry and Barbara Guidry were starting the New Year off right by taking advantage of the treadmills.
