Jeff Davis Parish District Attorney Michael Cassidy is hoping to compel a judge to require a Southwest Louisiana station to turn over videotaped interviews linked to the unsolved deaths of eight local women.

The interviews in question were conducted by Lake Charles station KPLC in 2009 as part of a documentary, “Unsolved: Mystery in Jeff Davis Parish,” which chronicled the deaths of eight local women and the murder investigation that followed. KPLC interviewed a number of individuals for the documentary, including victims’ relatives and friends.
