Dogs open district with win over Pios

The Jennings Bulldogs and Lady Dogs opened district play Tuesday as they hosted the visiting Notre Dame Pios. The Lady Pios easily got past the Lady Bulldogs, 70-27, while the Bulldogs took care of business over their league mates, 79-43.
In the girls’ game, the Lady Bulldogs stayed within striking distance of their visitors for most of the first quarter. With the game tied at four, the Lady Pios went on a 15-2 run to balloon their lead to 19-6. The Lady Pios extended their lead to 22-6 by the end of the frame.
